Skydive - UK! - Parachutes, Parachuting & Skydiving

Skydive - UK!

was originally constructed by me in the mid 1990's using Notepad as the primary authoring tool. Its aim was to provide the UK skydiving fraternity with information about the UK clubs and provide links to worldwide events, clubs and articles. The name Skydive - UK! was simply an extension of the original US based Skydive! site maintained by Bradley Spatz which had the wonderful tagline:

If riding in an airplane is flying,
then riding in a boat is swimming.
If you want to experience the element, get out of the vehicle.

Unfortunately (for me), at that time, there was little interest from the UK clubs or the British Parachute Association and the concept of electronic communication to the masses was not considered to be a realistic proposition, so Skydive - UK! simply stagnated over time.

Unfortunately much of the original content has been lost or destroyed due to ISP errors during account and infrastructure upgrades, or due to data not being migrated from old PCs, however it has been possible to republish some of the pages thanks to the efforts of the Wayback Machine. In addition some of the original content has been removed due it now being inaccurate due to changes implemented by the UK governing body ( The British Parachute Association or simply BPA )

There will be some new sections and links to those UK dropzones that have their own Websites as I find time.

I hope you enjoy some of this information from a site that was around during the infancy of the World Wide Web.
